Christmas sugar cookies

Ingredients

 

  • 10 ½ tablesoons butter, room temperature
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 ½ tablespoon milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Mix dry ingredients together. Cream butter and sugar. Add egg, vanilla and milk. Add dry to wet in several increments.
  3. Roll dough out to 1/4 inch thickness, using additional flour if needed to prevent sticking. Cut into desired shapes.
  4. Bake 5-7 minutes, until edges are ever so slightly golden brown. Cool and decorate if desired.
