Christmas sugar cookies

- 10 ½ tablesoons butter, room temperature
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 egg
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- 1 ½ tablespoon milk
- 2 cups flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Mix dry ingredients together. Cream butter and sugar. Add egg, vanilla and milk. Add dry to wet in several increments.
- Roll dough out to 1/4 inch thickness, using additional flour if needed to prevent sticking. Cut into desired shapes.
- Bake 5-7 minutes, until edges are ever so slightly golden brown. Cool and decorate if desired.
