no-bake layered chocolate peanut butter krispy bars

  • 1 ¼ cups peanut butter, divided
  • ⅓ cup powdered sugar
  • 3 cups puffed rice cereal
  • 12 oz package of chocolate chips
  • 1 t coconut oil


  1. Melt 1 cup peanut butter on stove top or in microwave.
  2. Transfer peanut butter to bowl and add powdered sugar. Mix well, and add rice cereal.
  3. Line an 8 x 8 pan with parchment paper. Press mixture into pan. Set aside.
  4. Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil. Once all chips are melted, remove from heat and spread evenly over rice cereal mixture.
  5. Place in refrigerator for 10-15 minutes to allow chocolate to harden a little. Place remaining ¼ cup of peanut butter in sandwich bag and melt in microwave (approximately 20 seconds).
  6. Cut small hole in bag and drizzle over bars. Place in refrigerator for 20 minutes to harden. Slice into bars.


These bars can be stored in refrigerator for up to one week.
