Ingredients

For the donuts:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup canned pumpkin
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ginger
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ⅛ teaspoon cloves
For the topping:
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon

Instructions

 
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix eggs, brown sugar, pumpkin, buttermilk, butter, vanilla and spices in bowl.
  3. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well.
  4. Pour into greased donut pans.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
  6. While baking, make topping. Combine sugar and cinnamon. Melt butter.
  7. Remove donuts from oven. Cool slightly. Dip in butter and roll in cinnamon sugar mixture.
  8. Serve immediately.
