Ingredients
For the donuts:
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¾ cup canned pumpkin
- ½ cup buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 ¼ teaspoons cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ginger
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
- ⅛ teaspoon cloves
For the topping:
- ½ cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix eggs, brown sugar, pumpkin, buttermilk, butter, vanilla and spices in bowl.
- Add flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well.
- Pour into greased donut pans.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes.
- While baking, make topping. Combine sugar and cinnamon. Melt butter.
- Remove donuts from oven. Cool slightly. Dip in butter and roll in cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Serve immediately.
