Ingredients

  • 24 small dinner rolls (I used King’s Hawaiian)
  • 1 lb deli ham, thinly sliced
  • 12 slices baby swiss cheese
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 2 shallots, finely chopped
  • 4 teaspoons pepper
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 4 tablespoons stone ground mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Place rolls in 9x 13 baking pan. If the rolls come in a foil pan, you can leave them in the pan they came in. Slice rolls in half and remove tops. Cut cheese and meat into squares and place on rolls
  3. Saute shallot in butter. Add pepper and poppy seeds. Remove from heat. Add mustard. Drop approx ½ t onto cheese and meat. Place tops back on rolls. Brush tops of rolls with remaining poppy seed/mustard mixture.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes, until heated through and cheese melted.
