We love a good pulled chicken in the South. And white barbecue sauce? Say no more. Think tender, juice pulled chicken breast, smothered in a creamy white sauce on a buttery brioche roll. Add a few pickles, if you’d like, and you have a winner!

Ingredients
For the pulled chicken sandwiches
- 6 chicken breast halves
- 1 shallot, sliced thinly
- 2 tablesoons butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 ½ teaspoons smoked paprika
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup chicken broth
For homemade white barbecue sauce
- ¼ cup mayonnaise or full fat greek yogurt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
Instructions
For the pulled chicken sandwiches
- Place chicken breasts in slow cooker. Sprinkle shallots on top. In a separate bowl, mix butter, oil paprika, garlic, salt and pepper. Pour over chicken breasts. Cook on low heat for 5 hours.
- After the first hour of cooking, flip breasts over and add chicken broth.
- After the 5th hour of cooking, remove chicken and shred with two forks, chicken should pull apart easily.
- Return to slow cooker and heat through. Once heated through, remove from slow cooker, place on bun and drizzle white bbq sauce over meat.
